Seperating My Emotions

Life is inside of me while death lingers around the corner.

My boss came back again to check up on me. He told me that Sharon's cancer has taken yet another turn. I left her another phone message but she's too sick from the chemo and radiation to come to the phone. It's been over two months since she left work. The last time I saw her, Sharon was getting ready to travel downstate to see her grandson's baseball game. She drove herself to the hospital the next day complaining of some stomach pain. A couple of weeks later, she was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer and not expected to live beyond a month or two. Meanwhile, I am running the department and working a lot of hours to cope with the busy cash coming in. I think about Sharon everyday but I have to go on and run the department.

It's hard for me to separate my emotions from people or things that I don't have control over. Life goes on and my family awaits for me to settle down in my job. The time is 1:53 a.m and I need to try to sleep again. Goodnight.

As time goes by and my health becomes a challenge, I am racing to get house projects done before the end of the year. I can remember one other time in my life when I did the same thing. My personality and lifestyle is such that I need to be prepared. My compulsive behavior get's me in trouble when I don't take the time for myself and others-what little time there is. If I don't have time to write, I still enjoy reading other blogs when I have the chance.

Too bad they don't care until it's too late. As far as New York goes, I wasn't too impressed to see the mounds of overflowing garbage in the streets of Brooklyn from my last visit. I could go to the worst streets on the south side of Chicago and still I don't see the garbage or graffiti like in certain parts of New York. On a positive note, Brooklynites are very friendly.

I just saw this in EcoGeek. The Japanese company is called Triumph. They specialize in organic under garments. Couldn't they get the LCD panel to match the same color as the rest of it? This is too funny and like the author says, it's anything but green. Wierd.... and what hot chick is going to wear this?

All I can think of is eating calamari when I was reading this. Mmmmm....that sounds good right now but so does deep dish pizza, Chicago-style hot dogs and Italian beef. It's time to go home and have dinner:-)

Mannheim Steamroller

Recently, I went to see them in concert. The Fresh Aire album continues on with more recent songs and a new Christmas album that is scheduled to come out this year! The last song they played was, Deck the Halls. The whole audience went crazy-and it's not even Christmas. Behind the stage was an enormous TV screen showing various terrains and unique images that complemented the music very nicely. Okay, I was the youngest audience member there but who could miss the "Pioneers of New Age Music" and a Christmas album that has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide. That is more than Elvis, Bing Crosby and Andy Williams.
