Sugar Beets

As the Chicagoland area braces for another snow storm tonight, we are reminded of the fact that the road salt reserve is dwindling fast. I found this article interesting since I work for one of the largest seed companies in the world. We are one of the largest producers of sugar beets. Yes, those round blood-looking things your mother made when you were a kid. So now you can eat sugar beets and use them on your driveway too!
