Chicago

The rain didn't stop us today from spending the day in Chicago. We caught a break and I was able to snap a few pictures for my Flickr account. Welcome to "the Bean" where everybody is invited, big or small. This is the highlight of Millennium Park, off of Michigan Avenue in Chicago. British Artist, Anish Kapoor named his sculpture, The Cloud Gate. See "the Bean" People like to call it the Bean instead. The rest of the park hosts a couple of restaurants with a sitting area that turns into an ice rink in the winter time. The outdoor pavilion entertains visitors with music concerts and films during the summer months. Radiohead was one of the first acts. Various sculptures and gardens appear throughout Millennium Park. The two public fountains have different facial expressions on them that coincide with the movement of water. This was awesome-quite the attention getter for kids and adults. There are so many cool places to go to in Chicago and so little time, weather permitting.
